Avocado toast is now a reality for gluten-free diners at Upbeet. The fast-casual restaurant opened in the Westside in June with a robust menu of health-conscious fare, focusing on organic ingredients for its protein and grain bowls, smoothies, salads, toasts and beverages. Although the ordering process is painstakingly slow, the concept offers a new take on cuisine by incorporating gluten-free grains, vegetables and proteins along with three types of Daiya Foods’ vegan cheese to create colorful and healthful fare. Order from one of the set menu options, or customize a bowl by choosing from an array of grains, greens, veggies, proteins and dressings. Gluten-free avocado toast, a unicorn in the Atlanta food scene, is served on Udi’s Gluten Free bread.
