Atlanta’s Gluten-free News – August 9th

Locally owned Four Fat Cows, a gourmet ice cream shop serving gluten-free ice cream, gluten-free puffle cones, gluten-free baked goods and more, is opening a new location this August in Buckhead. The new location is on Pharr Road is adjacent to Karma Farm, a dedicated gluten-free restaurant. The ice cream shop will be located at 30 Pharr Road, which until earlier this year was home to Karma Daisy, a sibling restaurant of Karma Farm. Thanks for the intel ToneToATL.


The Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar will opened its Town Center location in Peachtree Corners on August 7th. The restaurant has been building out a brand new space complete with dog-friendly patio for months. Known for its elevated comfort food made with seasonal ingredients, the menu focuses on hand-crafted food and drinks with a robust gluten-sensitive menu.

Thanks to its generous guests, Marlow’s Tavern is sending $26,331 to Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA). During June, the eatery encouraged diners to donate $1 or more to the organization and in return receive a $5 gift card for a future visit. Since 1991, Marlow’s Tavern and Sterling Culinary Management have raised more than $1 million for SOGA through fundraisers and the annual Marlow’s Tavern Golf Classic. This year’s tournament tees off at TPC Sugarloaf on Monday, Oct. 14.

Nuts n’ Berries is expanding to Decatur and taking over the space formerly occupied by Rainbow Natural Foods for 42 years. The new location, slated to open in January 2020, will include a 1,500-square-foot kitchen with a dedicated gluten-free bakery created in partnership with Alpharetta-based 2B Whole Gluten Free European Bakery.
